Dear Fellow collectors,
I have recently acquired this vintage JLC (see photo of the movement) but I am worried and would appreciate your kind responses and reactions:
1. the jewel that should be at the centre seems to be missing , is it true? Is it hard to replace?
2. The caliber does not have a number and does not look like a classic JLC caliber
3. The movement is cased "into" the watch - does this mean that the movement used to belong to another watch ?
Please let me know what you think !
Thank you
Alex

I'm pretty sure the movement has a caliber. Look harder, maybe under the balance wheel. The center jewel is not missing, it's just a 15 jewel movement. I don't understand #3. If it's a movement ring, this is common as well.
