Hi, I'm hoping to use the skills of this forum to identify the model details of a Hamilton watch. Measures approx 21mm x 29mm. Needs a clean, but mechanism stil works. Says on back: '14K GOLD FILLED S & W'. Inscription as well: J.R.FERGUSON

Any information on the model and place of manufacture gratefully received. Thanks in advance. See pic below...

This is a Hamilton "Wilshire" model which was introduced in 1939. Of course, it was manufactured by Hamilton in Lancaster, Pennsylvania U.S.A..

I have been quoted 75 pounds (UK) to get the watch cleaned, serviced and polished. I took it to a small independent watch/clock restorer to look at it. Does this represent good value?
