I need some history of the pocket watch which i am not abel to find on the net and what it would be worth and some information on the maker ROCAIL 1/4 REPEATING CHRONOGRAPH 18K SOLID GOLD A late 19th Century 1/4 repeating chronograph in a gold full hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Grained steel flyback centre seconds chronograph work above the plates. Push piece 1/4 repeating on two steel gongs, rotating double weight governor. white enamel dial with centre seconds flyback chronograph, subsidiary seconds, ARABIC numerals, Gold hands. Engine turned thin gauge 18 carat full hunter case, signed gold . Signed ____________________ Rocail Circa _____________________1890 Diameter __________________56 mm Condition Case _____________Very good. Dial ______________________ Very good, Movement _________________ Excellent.

Not sure I can help history wise. Is it a heavy 18k case? |

Hi. It's not the most known brand and it's a 1/4 repeater. Maybe something like $1700-2000? That's just a guess, pcokets watches are not my strong suit. |
