Re: Correct case back for this E861?

No, this topic is covered extensively in my book. The LeC case back is correct even for a JLC dial and movement.

Re: Memovox, first time post and asking for advice already!

Check my stock, I have a slightly later one with original crowns, a JLC strap and buckle for $700 less.

The crowns are not for that model, they should be flatter as you've noticed.

The hands have probably been redone, but you can always correct the tone to match the dial so it's not a big deal.

The watch dates to 1938. It seems to be a UK delivery. The Brits were pretty meticulous about there markings of case backs in military situations, so I belive it to be a civilian watch.

Re: Can you help me identify this jaeger lecoultre ?

It is original (but for the dial that appears to be refinished), just sold in France and the case was made in France by JLC France. You can tell from the hallmarks, which I assume is a small Eagle head.

Re: Can you help me identify this jaeger lecoultre ?

It's a French made case, so unless you find an identical Swiss made awatch, it will be very difficult to find which reference it is.

Re: JL newly acquired

It's hard to say without a movement shot, but it appears to be circa 1964 or so.

Re: Identify This Watch/ Tachymeter ? Please

I won't have ANY information on things Jaeger "Made in England" as they operated independently from Jaeger-LeCoultre Switzerland.

A first step here, to see what you have, is to provide a movement shot and a picture of the insides of the case back.
