Hi, This watch is in exceptional shape with original band marked Lecoultre (only had one owner before myself and he never wore it.)It is calibre 818/2 14k white gold case. The main concern I have as to the value is that it is monogrammed on the back.Should I remove this?I think the watch is '55 but don't know. |

These 50s LeCoultre 14K white gold cases were rhodium plated to give them a whiter color than the pale yellowish natural color of the white gold beneath. If you try to remove the back monogram, you'll find that the area will be a completely different color than the rest of the case and you'll need to have the case re-plated with rhodium. Thanks Greg, What would the value of something like this be with the engraving? |

  It's probably worth around $700. |
