  Hi !     Any idea on how old this watch is and approx. value? Here are the specifics on it (also the info for the file you are compiling):     18k solid white gold case      Case markings: Star Watch Co, 18k gold, 1016568,231A. Opposite side has #6568 below glass    Movement markings: 15 jewels,Three 3 adjustments,Swiss F-S, Blancpain, A LeCoultre     Any help would be appreciated !

  A. LeCoultre is not "LeCoultre" per se. In the majority of the cases, they are not factory made movements and the Jaeger-LeCoultre factory doesn't even recognize them as a Jaeger-LeCoultre product. They appear to made U.S. market pieces, with the movement subcontracted out to makers such as Blancpain and so on. Cases were U.S.A. contract cases as well. These were made approximately from 1925 to 1932.    I think you're looking at best at a few hundred dollars. |
