Girard-Perregaux - 17 jewel signed chronograph movement, exceedingly rare Valjoux caliber 720 with flyback "retour en vol" feature and 30 minute minute recorder. NOTE:The entire production of Valjoux 720 movements is 200 pcs of which a subset was used by G.P., this is as rare as they come; total production around 25 pieces with 4 or so that have ever surfaced, near mint stainless steel signed round screw back (38mm diameter, retains original factory finish and serial number), original and correct crown and hands,. near mint signed original black dial with light patina, three registers; oversized 30 "pear" minute recorder, twelve hour recorder and constant seconds. Chronograph center seconds. Far rarer than the Breguet and Mathey, the civilian aviation Girard Perregaux 3 register "retour en vol" chronograph, so called "type 20" chronograph from the late 1950s in all original condition.
