Founded in La Chaux-de- Fonds in 1955 by Gaston Ries, Simone Ries and Rene Bannwart. This watch manufacturer is known chiefly for extra ordinary case and dial designs; today it also includes wristwatches with complications in its offerings. Early designer watches include the "Golden Tube," "Longchamp," "Buckingham," "sans heures" and "Lionheart". On account of the comparatively modest age of the company, no firm collectors' market has formed. Prices begin at about $250 but are not uniform.
