In the mean time, here is a brief history of the manufacturer you selected:This watchmaking firm was founded, as the name suggests, in Geneva in 1894 by G. Ferret and L. Berthoud. Its lower-priced brand is called "UWECO." Among collectors, Universal is best known by its various chronograph models (including the Compax, Tri-Compax, Dato-Compax, Aero-Compax). The firm's products also include simple hand wound, automatic and calendar watches. In 1958 Universal introduced the microrotor, a planetary rotor mounted on the same plane as the movement.
